Bollywood Hot Actress Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra was born on 18 July, 1982 in Jamshedpur in the state of Jharkhand in India to Ashok and Madhu Chopra, both doctors by profession. She spent part of her childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Her family had to shift places from time to time as Priyanka`s father was an army man. Priyanka`s family was of a Punjabi origin. Chopra primarily studied at La Martiniere Girls` College in Lucknow. She later went to the United States and joined the Newton North High School in Newton in Massachusetts. Later she was admitted to the North Delta Senior Secondary High School in Northern Delta before returning to India to complete high school at the Army Public School in Bareilly. After her schooling was complete, she joined Jai Hind College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World pageant. Priyanka Chopra was crowned Femina Miss India 2000 and later went on to win the Miss World title in the same year. In 2004, she met with success in Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Aitraaz. Her performance in the latter Mrs Sonia Roy won her many accolades. Her biggest hit in 2005 was Bluffmaster with Abhishek Bachchan. In 2005, she had many releases such as Karam, Waqt, Yakeen, though most did not do well at the box office. Inspite of ups and downs in her variegated acting career, Priyanka has always maintained her hold amidst the gruelling competition of Bollywood. She was trained in martial arts for Don and Krrish. In the year 2008, Priyanka starred in six movies, Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku and Drona, Fashion and Dostana. While the first five movies underperformed at the box office, the later ones were a huge success. For the movie Fashoin, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Priyanka received several awards. The next movie Dostana was comedy flick starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Bobby Deol. In 2009, she appeared in a Vishal Bhardwaj`s Kaminey alongside Shahid Kapoor and in Ashutosh Gowariker`s What`s Your Raashee?, a film in which Chopra became the first actress in the world to portray 12 distinct characters opposite Harman Baweja. She was also seen in Pyaar Impossible and Anjaana Anjaani in 2010 along side Uday Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor respectively. In 2011 she had two films released; 7 Khoon Maaf and Don 2- The Chase Continues. For the former she won the best actor female award. Apart from films Priyanka has also participated in the world tour fittingly titled "Temptations 2004" with Bollywood top actors, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukerjee, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal. Being among the few Indian actresses to take up challenging action packed roles, Priyanka seems to have a plethora of bright moments in her professional career.
